We don't sell trips
AroundTrail is a guide. Everything here — the trails, the monasteries, the festival dates, the day-by-day planning tools — is meant to help you work out what a trip should look like, and it is free and always will be.
But planning and arranging are different jobs. Permits, guides, transport on roads that change with the season, a phone number that answers when something goes wrong at altitude — that needs someone on the ground.
Shambala Travels
For travellers who want a trip arranged rather than self-planned, we work with Shambala Travels, who arrange travel in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet — the same three countries AroundTrail covers on this side of the Himalaya.
Visit Shambala TravelsHow this works: we earn nothing from this. There is no commission, no per-enquiry fee and no paid placement — it is a recommendation, not an advertisement. Your arrangements are between you and Shambala Travels; AroundTrail is not a party to them.
For travel operators
We’re open to more partners
We’re open to conversations with more local travel operators in the regions AroundTrail covers. If you arrange trips on the ground and think there’s a fit, introduce your company.
Talk to us about partneringTravelled with them, or with someone else you would recommend? Tell us how it went — who we point people at should depend on that.
